4th of July Week: Maui's Real Estate

I hope everyone who celebrated our Independence Day had a wonderful time with family and friends. This year's celebrations seemed a little more subdued compared to New Years and last year's 4th. I'm only judging this by the amount of illegal aerials going off in North Kihei. Usually it starts as soon as its dark then goes on till around midnight. By 9:30 is was mostly crickets with the occasional boom in the distance. Wailea's fireworks show lasted about 15 minutes and the traffic getting out of Wailea took about an hour. What a strange 4th of July.


Maybe Maui has other things on their minds. To remind you we have the second hearing coming up on July 9th with regard to short term rentals. The Webx link is in this week's newsletter. To warn you, it will only last one hour because they will not have quorum. A continuation of the proceedings will move to July 23rd. If you haven't testified yet, please do so. Our island leaders need to hear your voices.
