I wish I could tell you a whole bunch of new information. But it seems like everybody is waiting for the results of the commission meeting regarding the future of short term rentals on Maui.
As for South Maui's activity a few things stood out. One, only two pending properties in the past week. Two, there's a healthy mix of conventional loans and cash with regards to how purchases are being made. And finally, Minatoya properties coming to market are priced for more normal times. My personal thoughts are if there is uncertainty concerning future usage and you didn't purchase in the past few years, be the lowest priced unit and get it sold.
